Every acoustic player was an acoustic guitar beginner at one time.

Are you an acoustic guitar beginner? Anyone that plays a guitar, regardless of how good was a beginner at one time.

Most of us did not come out of the womb playing.

It is amazing though, how easy it is for some players who have a natural talent for it.

My son, Jess, is a third generation guitar player and he has had a much easier time playing than I did and I had a much easier time than my Dad did. cchordhand

If you are an acoustic guitar beginner, I would advise you not to spend a lot of money on a guitar right up front.

There are many inexpensive guitars on the market that have a decent sound and excellent playability.

fchordhand Although good name brand guitars hold their value well and are usually a good investment, you may want to make sure acoustic guitar playing is what you want to do before you dump a bunch of money into it.

As an acoustic guitar beginner, when you decide you want to buy a guitar, slow down a bit.

Take your time! Go to a music store or several music stores and play as many as you can in all price ranges.

What's the difference in the way they play?

Narrow your choices down until you find one that fits your style, your hands and your budget. If you are very young and small, you may need a smaller guitar, one that is not full scale.

Take your time, check them out thoroughly.

Does it have the right feel?

Is the neck the right size and feel for your hands? Is it comfortable to hold?

Is it the body style that compliments your style of music.

There's nothing worse than blowing your budget on a guitar that you are not happy with and being stuck with playing it or practicing hours with it until you can afford something else.

Take your time! It's worth the wait!! You'll be glad you did!!
