Acoustic Guitar Lessons with Basic Music Theory Concepts

So you either play guitar or want to learn. Great!!! Covered in this section of acoustic guitar lessons are basics and also more advanced concepts of guitar playing.

It takes time, patience and committment to master the guitar.

Time---You must set aside a time daily to practice, work on and maintain old material and learn new material.

For some people, this works best in the morning while the mind and body are fresh.

For others the evening works best when they are unwinding. It could be in the middle of the day for others.

There is one thing for sure, though. There is no time like the present. In other words, don't put practicing off.

Set aside a time and try to maintain it.

Patience---Be Patient. When practicing, concentrate fully on the peice you are working on and then do it some more.

Repetition is the only thing that builds good muscle memory and speed.

Don't give up too easy.

If you get frustrated, leave the exercise for a bit until you get settled and then return to it.

Go through a peice enough times to etch it in your mind and muscle memory.

Be patient. The fruits of your labor will be worth it!

Committment---You must be committed to acoustic guitar lessons if you plan on succeeding.

Whether you are just beginning or you want to take your playing to the next level, you must have your mind made up and be committed to sucess.

Make it work.

Ask yourself the question.....Do I really want this?

If you do, commit to it and then accomplish it. You can do it! Carl Jung Quote

There are many other things that demand consideration.

From the way you sit or stand, the position of your right and left hand, your right and left hand technique, and the way you hold your pick to the place you practice and what you choose to practice! KenBigFish Regardless of your ability level, you should always

1. Warm up

2. Practice technique and develop muscle memory

3. Work on new scales, chords, songs, etc.

4. Work on material you have learned previously

Keep on playing and practicing. With time, patience, and committment you may catch the big one!!!!!!!!!!
